VYRX / The project
Infrastructure that disappears into everyday life.
VYRX is a private digital space for family and friends – and an ongoing project about how distributed services become understandable, maintainable and reliable.
01 / The task
Many systems. One entry.
Applications do not necessarily run in the same place. For the people who use them, it should still become a simple entry point – without dealing with hosts, networks and services.
The portal is therefore not the system itself. It connects the existing offers, explains their state and leads to the right place.
02 / The approach
One source per truth.
Configuration and service contracts describe what should exist. Identity decides access; observation answers what is actually reachable. The interface translates this into understandable paths – without quietly becoming a second configuration system.
03 / The trade-off
Less control, more clarity.
A portal could perform every change itself. VYRX deliberately separates understanding from lasting change: operations stay traceable, everyday access stays simple, and the configuration has one clear source.
